Established in 1942 Tagore Memorial Secondary School was named after the poet Rabindranath Tagore (1861 - 1941).

At present the school has a population of 600 students and 40 teachers. It has 24 classrooms, 3 laboratories, 1 staffroom, 1 Home Economics department room, 1 Reading room, 1 Deputy Head Teacher’s Office, and 1 Head Teacher’s office.

The school offers the following subjects: Mathematics, Health and Family Life Education, Human and Social Biology, Electronic Document Preparation and Management Agricultural Science, English A, English B, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Integrated Science, Business Management, Principles of Accounts, Office Administration, Home Economics, Spanish, Food Nutrition and Health, Physical Education.
